Overview


The City Clerk is responsible for maintaining official city records, ordinances, resolutions and other documents, prepares meeting packets, prepares status reports, and maintains records of meetings of the City Council, prepares resolutions and proclamations as directed by the Mayor or Council, provides proper notice of all meeting of the Council, issues licenses for the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages, pet registration, etc.

The City Clerk is also the Freedom of Information Officer providing copies of documents requested under the Kansas Open Records Act, assists outside auditors with annual audit, and provides citizen assistance by fielding questions and concerns from general public.
